Historic DeKalb County Courthouse – Decatur, Georgia

The modern, global couple living in Abu Dhabi expressed their wishes to have an abundance of fresh greenery surrounding them and their loved ones for their wedding ceremony and reception. The Historic DeKalb County Courthouse in Decatur, Georgia created an elegant white canvas with its white marble walls and beautifully arched windows. Greenery, ferns, and flowers were locally foraged to build spectacular organic elements and the glow of infinite candles created romantic, soft lighting throughout the evening. Cascading greens were pinned to the wall in dramatic fashion behind the altar, miniature “trees” were built from Manzanita branches on elegant candle-lit tabletops and a long custom garland was laid down the center of the head table with peonies and garden roses dotted in the arrangements for a hint of color.
