Location: Bozeman, MT (some travel may be required for events)

Schedule: Full-time; includes weekends as needed

Role Summary

The Lead Floral Designer will play a key role in designing and producing wedding and event florals, collaborating closely with our creative director, other floral designers, and production teams to execute floral concepts from proposal through installation and breakdown. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role ideal for someone who loves large-scale work, thoughtful mechanics, and high-touch events.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Event Production

• Create bouquets, centerpieces, ceremony arrangements, and large-scale installations

• Execute designs from event proposals, recipes, and inspiration boards

• Prepare flowers: processing, conditioning, wiring, taping, and mechanics

• Maintain consistency with the Amanda Jewel’s aesthetic and quality standards

• Assist with mock-ups and samples for clients

• Install and strike event florals at venues

• Contribute creative ideas for seasonal offerings and new designs

Studio & Operations

• Receive and process flower deliveries

• Maintain cooler organization and flower care standards

• Keep the studio clean, organized, and event-ready 

• Prep containers, structures, and hard goods

• Load and unload vehicles for events

• Support inventory management and waste reduction

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with creative director and designers

• Support teammates during high-volume event weeks

• Communicate clearly about timelines and needs

• Represent Amanda Jewel professionally onsite at events

Qualifications

Required

• 2+ years professional floral design experience OR a strong portfolio

• Wedding and event experience

• Confident with bridal bouquets, arches, and tablescapes

• Strong grasp of color, texture, proportion, and mechanics

• Physically able to lift 40–50lbs and work long event days

• Weekend availability is required

 • Punctuality and reliability for scheduled shifts

• Good communication skills, positive attitude, and professional appearance

• Valid driver’s license preferred

Preferred

• Installation experience (large-scale structures, hanging installs, foam-free methods)

• Knowledge of floral recipes and event production workflows

• Familiarity with luxury event and wedding design

• Leadership potential or mentoring experience

• Comfortable working directly with planners or venues
