Our second stop for #projectbloomatl had to be with this sweet little couple in Decatur who I adore. I mean look at those sweet faces? I have known of this couple for many years and have always admired them and I actually did my first bouquet photo shoot a very long seven years ago with them when I launched AJF+D. It is crazy how things circle back.
The sculpture is called "Valentine" by George Lundeen and guess what their names are? William and Sydney! I mean, really? My son's name is William and my daughter's name is Sidney. Seven years ago I stood in this exact same spot to launch my business and I was looking at my future son and daughter's name, how does life happen like that??? A little bit of serendipity, I guess. Ok enough about my life and lets read on about the story of these two.
Do you know the story?
"This bronze sculpture reflects the enduring love shared by the couple depicted here. The artist completed a sculpture of these subjects early in their lives together and chose to revisit them again later in life for this piece.
This sculpture is dedicated to William E. "Bill" Floyd and his wife Sydney Floyd in recognition of their contributions to the City of Decatur"
We had no plan at all which is how I like it and we made these two lovebirds even more beautiful. Enjoy the images below of the project and a little bit of behind the scenes by the talented Four Corners Photography.
Side note: To this day neither my son or daughter have come a long with me on a shoot but mireaculously on this day they did so they were able to join in on the fun with the other William and Sydney. Wild to say the least!
This #projectbloomatl was extremely personal for me and I am not sure we will be able to top this one. :) Atlanta really knows how to pull on the heart strings a bit. Until next time!
