Our West Elm workshops are definitely a favorite for us. We've been hosting a variety of workshops at West Elm PCM for over a year now and they never disappoint. From Christmas wreath making classes to flower crowns and floral arranging, we offer a variety all throughout the year. Be sure to check out our workshop calendar for all of our upcoming workshops this year!
For this past Mother's Day, Libby taught the attendees how to make their very own floral arrangements with some of her favorite flowers and foraged greens. At AJF+D, we incorporate foraged goodies into most of our arrangements, so we educated the ladies on what types of greenery are best to use to make any florals look like a million bucks.
We started and ended the evening off with great energy thanks to our fun group of gals! The star flower was the coral charm - always a fan favorite. It's always fun to see how everyone in the class creates such unique arrangements. We generally try not to hover so everyone's creative juices can flow. Some arrangements were big and lavish while others were small and nestled neatly amongst the vessel. It is always refreshing to see what is created by those who don’t do this on a daily basis and reminds us to always mix it up and keep things exciting!!
Our floral recipe
1 to 3 coral charm peonies depending on the size of your vessel
3 stems of peach ranunculus
3 stems of fritillaria
2 stems of green hellebores
2 pink french tulips
2 stems of mauve astrantia
2 stems of mauve lisianthus
foraged smokebush, nandina, oak, and eleagnus
Thank you so much to all the creative ladies who came out to play with us and also a big thank you to West Elm Ponce City Market for always providing us with such a beautiful space to offer classes and workshops! We hope to see you at the next one! :)
